This is ridiculous! …For the second time this year Ureadmnweepagain has won the Caribbean stud jackpot! Earlier this year Ureadmnweepagain won the largest jackpot in Carbon Poker history – over $72,000 cash!

This time Ureadmnweepagain has won in excess of $20,000 of the 20c Caribbean Stud jackpot. To be frankly honest there couldn’t be a more deserving winner – Ureadmnweepagain a common name in our Carbon Poker forums and a regular at many Carbon Poker events, Ureadmnweepagain truly deserves the win.

The jackpot has gone off many times this year, only last week it paid out a percentage to a lucky player who only started paying jackpot bets 4 hands prior to his win! So if your playing Caribbean Stud make sure your opting in for the jackpot as you might miss out on a huge payout!

Congratulations Ureadmnweepagain enjoy your cash!

In the last few days at Carbon Poker our Bad Beat Jackpot has soared to well over $300,000 dollars. Along with the soaring jackpot, the action at the tables has followed suit, with Bad Beat tables of all stakes constantly full.
All of you players are certainly enjoying the increased action and one such notable who is really enjoying the wide range of poker action here at Carbon is one doubleuW.

The latest in a long line of winners at Carbon, doubleuW , made his cash in our 20,000 Sunday guaranteed. Starting off in a satellite Sit’n Go doubleuW
won an entry to the massive 20,000 dollar Sunday guaranteed. Playing through the field of competitors, doubleuW went on to win the first place prize of over $5000 all for a $2.20 buy in.

doubleuW is one of many players to take advantage of the better than normal EV balance in our $20,000 guaranteed. What this means is that players have a much better chance of making the money, which equates to better tournament odds for those who do play. Congratulations doubleuW on your win, enjoy the cash. I’m off to play the Bad Beat tables.

Just a quick little post on the ever increasing Bad Beat jackpot. Carbon Poker’s quad 7′s or better requirements is one of the lowest in the industry and is currently its sitting just over the $250,000 mark. As the jackpot climbs, the listed Bad Beat tables see more and more action, which means more and more chance of a payout. A bit of trivia – 624 in 2,598,960 or 1 in every 4165 hands are the odds of pulling four of a kind in a hand of Holdem. However for a Bad Beat you must have quad 7′s or better. So the odds thin out a little, to 1:10829. Now for your hand to be badly beaten, someone else must have quad 8′s or better, so the chances are whittled down a tad more along with my ability to calculate such figures without the aid of a supercomputer or ridiculous amounts of caffeine.

However some interesting poker stats and odds that I did manage to find out while looking into Bad Beats -
  • If you have 3 of a kind, you have a 4% chance of turning that set into four of a kind.
  • You also have a 10% chance of turning that set into a full house, given that the turn and river are still to fall.
  • Two pair has a 8% chance of turning into a full house with only the river to come.
  • When chasing a flush, if your holding four of a suit you have a 19% chance of completing your hand.
Best of luck at losing bad.

The Carbon Poker Bad Beat Jackpot is still climbing rapidly and currently sits just under the $200, 000 dollar mark. That means if you lose a hand on one of these tables with quad 7′s or better then you will stand to win close to $70, 000 in cash. The best part is you don’t even have to still be in the play to win! If your simply at the table and not sitting out, then you will also win a share. The Bad Beat Jackpot tables are for Texas Holdem only and are listed. They are usually pretty full up and see some of the best action here at Carbon Poker

See You At The Bad Beat Tables

Carbon Poker has many extra little bonuses included in the gameplay, such as the Bad Beat jackpot and the Royal Flush Bonus. From time to time, a player scores a lucky hand and wins a load of extra cash. The latest to do so was hakangsl, who laid down a royal flush on one of our $5/$10
tables over the weekend. Not only did hakangsl pick up a $2,087 pot busting his opponents two pair, he also scored the royal flush bonus of 100 times the big blind – $1,000.
Congratualtions

Also while I’m on the topic of bonuses, the bad beat is currently at a whopping $184, 858 and counting fast. To be in for this jackpot simply make sure you play the listed bad beat tables.

This afternoon saw the most important event in the Summer Champs Calendar.
The Staff Summer Champs No Limit Holdem Event. Why was this the most important? Because I got to play, without having to pay. Cue overwhelming amounts of jealousy now.

The game started out slow, with only the usual inter-office insults keeping things interesting. However, as the afternoon wore on, and the end of the day was near. Things got crazy. Real crazy. Some ridiculous play by one ‘Staffluke’ saw almost every hand in the final table unveil another all in. Chip stacks were swapping hands at an almost stupid pace.

Unlike all of you lucky punters, the first three places won chip sets and some carbon poker merch, not mounds of cash. Congrats Jarad, Liam, and Paulie for taking out the top three places…

If your going to loose a monster hand in poker, now is the time to do it. Carbon Poker Bad Beat Jackpot has hit a colossal $100, 000. Stop scratching your heads in wonderment. You know what this means. It means that if you are holding quad 7’s or higher, you should be praying to the poker gods or who ever it is you pray to, that someone comes in and busts your entire bankroll. Why? Because then you will win the jackpot, and everyone at the table will be showering you with love and other fluids as they also win a fair share. For more on the Bad Beat Jackpot check here

In Summer Champs news, I was lucky enough to catch the entire final table of action today. There were a lot of all in’s, as the field slowly got whittled down. The final draw saw Jazzers1 facing off against Mass175 who re-bought earlier on. An interesting hand witnessed Jazzers1 go bust to Mass175’s trip 4’s. I also happened to notice a subtle rivalry seeming to take place in the closing tables with Jazzers1 shooting off kudos every time yeafishin lost a hand. Lucky you held on longer Jazzers1.

On a related note while table rivalries are a part of the game, and make for interesting play. Just keep them in check. It is still a game and while pissing someone off maybe (definitely is) a little fun, everyone else who picks up on it will most likely think you a $#%^ (lovely person)

Enjoy your winnings guys, you deserve them See you at the tables.
