Phil Ivey, President Obama almost agree on NCAA Tournament

With the 2013 NCAA tournament currently raging on, high stakes poker pro Phil Ivey and US President Barack Obama have weighed in on who they think will be in the Final Four.

Starting with Obama, he predicts Louisville, Ohio State, Florida and Indiana making the Final Four. From here, he has the Indiana Hoosiers topping the Louisville Cardinals in the championship game. Ivey and Mr. President have a lot in common since the poker pro’s Final Four looks exactly the same. However, the difference is that Ivey tabs Louisville to beat the Florida Gators in the championship. He told NBC Sports’ Off the Bench, “Defense wins Championships. And from what I’ve seen this season, Louisville and Florida definitely have the best D in the country.”

When it comes to predicting sports outcomes, one would generally want to take Ivey’s opinion. After all, he spends a lot of time on sports betting, in addition to his heavy poker playing schedule. Obama, on the other hand, has correctly picked just two out 12 Final Four teams in the past three years.
