While many young online poker pros choose to live inconspicuously despite their millions, Phil “OMGClayAiken” Galfond chose a totally opposite approach. First off, he bought two side-by-side New York City penthouses worth a reported $3.14 million. Secondly, he has a big slide connecting his two condos, which no doubt has to be one of the most interesting features of any dwelling in NYC.
So are parks really that far away from Galfond’s home to where his favorite curly slide is a total inconvenience to get to? Not quite since Galfond was simply looking for a way to connect his side-by-side purchases. After talking to a company called Turett Collaborative Architects, they decided that the best solution for a poker pro with too much money on his hands was to build a slide that went from condo to condo. Now Galfond can just slide down from the office where he plays poker into the living room.
Now when I first read about this story in Yahoo’s Curbed section, I had visions of Galfond trying to crawl and writhe his way back up the slide when he needed to play poker. However, my visions were quickly disbanded when I saw that he has a staircase as well.
There’s no word on if a swing set is soon to follow, but Galfond definitely has to loving being one of the few people with a slide in their home. Here is a look at some pictures from Galfond’s unique penthouse:

Funny his houses are worth $Pi.
Haha, I didn’t notice that.
