Carbon Poker already gives out tons of money each month to players through freerolls. However, they recently decided to up the amount of free poker money they give out each month to $50,000! You can compete for a large chunk of this money as soon as you sign up at Carbon and make a deposit since they give new depositing players the chance to play in 14 freerolls worth $500 each. These are the $500 Depositor freerolls that are normally reserved for regular depositors, but you have 14 chances to play as a new player.

In addition to the numerous freerolls that new depositors get to play in, Carbon is also running five $200 freerolls every single day. The only thing that you need to do to get involved in these freerolls is watch the Carbon Poker lobby for start times, and register before the freeroll begins.

One more way that Carbon is giving players a chance to win free money is through their VIP freerolls. Depending on your level within the VIP program, you will get to play in a big freeroll, and here is a look at that schedule:

Earth Members: $500 Monthly Freeroll
Wind Members: $1,000 Monthly Freeroll
Fire Members: $1,500 Monthly Freeroll
Water Members: $2,500 Monthly Freeroll
Ether Members: $3,500 Monthly Freeroll

As you earn VIP points by playing in real money games at Carbon, you will advance up the VIP levels and on towards major prizes. Of course, you won’t have to worry about the real money games for a little while with all of the free cash that we’re giving out each month! So sign up, register for some freerolls, and start earning your chunk of the $50k that’s given away in monthly freerolls.

If you haven’t signed up at Carbon Poker yet, but you’re still pondering the decision, then take this into account: Carbon is giving all new depositors the opportunity to earn lots of extra money!

Anybody who signs up at Carbon and makes a deposit will be eligible for the New Depositors Cash Race. In this promotion, you have 30 days to earn as many VIP points as possible; the more points you earn during the 30 days, the more money you’ll earn in the Cash Chase.

To earn points towards the New Depositors Cash Chase, all you need to do is play in MTT’s, SNG”s, and cash games before the 30 days are up. Here is a quick look at how much money you can earn depending on your VIP points accumulated:

VIP Points      Cash Prize
500                   $5
1,000               $11
2,500               $30
3,500               $50
5,000              $75
7,500              $120
10,000            $175
15,000            $280
25,000            $500

As mentioned before, all you have to do is play in real money games and tournaments at Carbon to participate in the Cash Race. Even if you don’t get the cash prize of your dreams, you can still use the VIP points for other things like getting into tournaments for free, cashing them in for money, and purchasing things from the VIP Store.

Some of the things that you can get from the store include expensive electronics (PS3′s, Wii’s, digital cameras, flatscreen TV’s, iPods), poker accessories, live poker seats (WPT, WSOP, Aussie Millions, and APPT), and expensive jewelry.

In any case, get to Carbon so you can earn money in their New Depositors Cash Race, and also use the points for other great things.

Many Carbon Poker players have been asking if the Super Money Tree promotion is running again in March. And luckily, the answer is a resounding Yes! If you’re interested in participating in Super Money Tree, you just need to start playing cash games, SNG’s, and MTT’s to earn VIP Points. As you earn VIP Points, you’ll be earning cash assuming you meet the requirements.

The main requirement is that you need to earn 100 VIP Points within a 24-hour period. As soon as you do this, you’ll be able to earn $1 for every 75 VIP Points you earn on your top 5 qualifying days.

If you want to get even more bonuses, you should try to earn 175 VIP Points on 10 different days; assuming you’re able to do this, you will get $1 for every 55 VIP Points you earn on the top 10 qualifying days in March.

Want an even better rate? Try to earn 250 VIP Points on 20 different days, and you’ll get $1 for every 25 VIP Points you earn on the top 10 qualifying days. Even if you only meet the minimum requirements for this deal, you’ll receive a $100 bonus for March!

One important step to take before you earn any cash is to visit your player admin area and activate the Carbon Money Tree option. Once you’ve done this, get ready to win some major money because there’s no limit to the amount of cash that you can earn!

It’s always great when you can make money in poker without having to spend a dime. And Carbon Poker is giving you five chances every day to win free money through their daily freerolls.

The daily freerolls all offer a $200 prize pool, and the best part of the deal is that they’re all free – no hassles or back-end points buy-ins involved. In addition to this, you’ll also be able to enjoy a variety of different freerolls instead of just playing the same old Texas Hold’em tournaments. Hold’em, Pot-Limit Omaha, and H.O.R.S.E. tournaments are all offered, as you can see from the following schedule:

20:00 NL Holdem: $200 prize pool, and this freeroll is open to all players
18:00 PL Omaha: $200 prize pool, and this freeroll is open to all players
12:00 H.O.R.S.E: $200 prize pool, and this freeroll is open to all players
6:00 NL Holdem: $200 prize pool, and this freeroll is open to all players
0:00 NL Holdem: $200 prize pool, and this freeroll is open to all players

As long as you have a Carbon Poker account, you can jump in these freerolls and compete for some nice cash prizes. Just make sure that you’re registered before the tournaments’ listed starting times.

In addition to the daily freerolls, you’ll also be able to play in VIP freerolls based on what status you are in the VIP club. All of these freerolls take place on the last Saturday of each month, and here is a look at that schedule:

15:00 Saturday NL Holdem: $500 Monthly Freeroll open to Earth members
15:00 Saturday NL Holdem: $1,000 Monthly Freeroll open to Wind members
15:00 PM Saturday NL Holdem: $1,500 Monthly Freeroll open to Fire members
15:00 PM Saturday NL Holdem: $2,500 Monthly Freeroll open to Water members
15:00 PM Saturday NL Holdem: $3,500 Monthly Freeroll open to Ether members

With millions of dollars in guaranteed tournaments every month at Carbon Poker, there’s already plenty of money to be won here. However, Carbon is sweetening the deal even further by paying out an additional $20,000 every month to the top multi-table tournament players. Want your share of this money? Then start playing in as many MTT’s as you can so you’re eligible for the Tourney King title.

The more MTT’s you play, the more points you’ll earn towards either the High Limit Leaderboard ($20 tourney buy-ins or higher) or the Low Limit Leaderboard (tourneys with less than $20 buy-ins). If you earn enough points to finish in the top 250 players of either the High or Low Limit Leaderboard, you’ll get to play in a big cash-filled tournament at the end of the month.

Here’s how the top 5 prizes look for the top players in both tournaemnts:

High Limit tournament

1st place: $3,000

2nd place: $1,800

3rd place: $1,200

4th place: $600

5th place: $450

Low Limit tournament

1st place: $1,500

2nd place: $900

3rd place: $600

4th place: $300

5th place: $225

Besides the cash prizes, there will be plenty of tournament tickets that will be given away. And if you’re interested as to how the points are determined, the formula is simple: just take your buy-in X the entrants, then divide by your finish. So if you placed 10th in a $10 buy-in, 100-player tournament, you’d get 100 points ([$10 X 100]/10). Keep in mind that you also get extra points for making the final table of a tournament too.

The next Tourney King race starts at the beginning of February, so start hitting the tables right away so you can move up the leaderboards!

If you’ve browsed the Carbon Poker tournament section before, you have probably seen our bounty tournaments. These tourneys are always fun because you get a bonus just for eliminating other players. Unfortunately, the bounty wrinkle throws a lot of players off, and they play horribly as a result. If you think that your bounty tournament game needs a little work, check out our poker tips for bounty tourneys.

Tip #1: Use the Bounty Amount to determine your Strategy

All bounty tournaments are different since some pay out 25% of the prize pool for bounties while others pay out 100% of the pool for bounties. In the end, the amount placed on the bounties will heavily affect how you should play the tournament. For example, if the bounties only make up 25% of the prize pool, you’ll only be getting $5.50 per bounty in a $22 buy-in tournament; in this case, you should focus on finish while merely hoping for bounties on the side since it’s not worth risking your tourney life just to eliminate somebody. On the other hand, 75% bounties would pay $16.50 per bounty in a $22 buy-in event, and this would require you to focus more attention on the bounties.

Tip #2: Keep a Big Chip Stack or risk busting Out

Short stacks are a marked target in these tournaments since it’s much easier to get a bounty off of a player with 200 chips rather than someone with 2,000 chips. This is why it’s important to keep a big chip stack at all times, or risk busting out to get there. If you merely try to survive, players will call you frequently, and worse, you won’t be able to bust anybody else out.

Tip #3: Target Small Stacks

This is kind of an obvious tip, but one worth mentioning nonetheless. Small stacks should be your primary target – especially in tournaments with big bounties. As mentioned before, small stacks are the easiest to bust out, and they’ll increase your chip stack as well. Just remember that you don’t want to be the person who knocks someone down from 1,500 chips to 150. Instead, you want to be the player taking that last 150 chips….and the bounty.

In addition to all of the big promotions and tournaments that Carbon Poker runs, they also have some pretty cool features that greatly enhance your playing experience. For starters, they offer Late Registration, which allows you to jump into tournaments late with a full chip stack. All you have to do to find these tourneys is look in the lobby for late registration.

The Time Bank is another unique feature at Carbon that allows you to take time from quick decisions you made earlier, and apply it to the current hand that you’re struggling with. This will give you a lot of extra time to make tough decisions.

Deal It Twice is also a favorite at Carbon since this gives you and an opponent the opportunity to deal the turn and river cards twice. Deal It Twice makes calling a more attractive option for a player who wouldn’t otherwise call.

Expose One Card lets you tease an opponent by showing just one of your cards to keep them guessing. This is always fun to do to annoying players who are begging to see your hand after they mucked.

Rabbit Hunt lets you see what the flop, turn, and/or river would have been after you win a hand. This way, you can satisfy your curiosity while also reveling in a victory.

Other great features at Carbon include multi-tabling, Player Accolades, Smiles and Player Tags. I’m assuming you already know what multi-tabling is, so let’s skip the discussion of this and move straight to the last three things. Player Accolades are trophies you win at Carbon for accomplishing certain feats, Smiles are emoticons you can use to mess around after a hand, and Player Tags allow you to tag opponents (i.e. shark, fish) so you know how good they are next time you run into them.

With all of the playing options at Carbon Poker, you can make poker 10 times more enjoyable!

Just like every day, Carbon is running several freerolls that are loaded with prizes. Assuming you’re interested in playing in these free poker tournaments, just visit the Carbon Poker lobby, click on the “stakes” option, and look for tourneys marked “free.”
