One of the exciting new additions to the Carbon Poker VIP program is daily cashback rebates. As the name implies, you can get rebates at the end of every day based on the rake you pay at Carbon.

Now the amount of money you get back at the end of each day will depend on your level within the VIP program. So as you may have guessed, it’s extremely important to get on the poker tables at Carbon and rack up as many VIP points as possible.

Check out the amount of rebate money you can get based on your VIP level, along with the number of points needed to reach the higher levels:

Earth – 250 monthly VIP points, 5% cashback rebates
Wind – 2,000 monthly VIP points, 7.5% cashback rebates
Fire - 5,000 monthly VIP points, 10% cashback rebates
Water – 10,000 monthly VIP points, 15% cashback rebates
Ether - 25,000 monthly VIP points, 35% cashback rebates

It definitely pays to ascend higher in the VIP program since you can earn up to 35% daily cashback. In addition to this, you can also exchange the VIP points you earn for extra money. If you’re interested in taking a look at this, you can read about it here.

The VIP program here at Carbon is filled with excellent rewards and bonuses such as exclusive freerolls, cashback rebates, birthday gifts and access to the VIP Store. And yet another big benefit to being part of the Carbon VIP program is that you get to exchange all of those points you earn on the poker tables for cash.

Beginning with the actual points, you earn 10 VIP points for every $1 contributed in cash game rake, and you also receive 10 points for each dollar paid in tournament fees. So if you were to play in a tournament with a $50 + $5 buy-in, you would receive 50 VIP points for this one buy-in.

As mentioned before, you’ll be able to exchange these points for real money through the VIP program. Depending on your level within the program, you’ll be able to get more money for your exchanges. The following shows how many points you can get at each level:

Earth level (250 required points/month): $3 per 500 points
Wind level (2,000 required points/month): $7 per 1,000 points
Fire level (5,000 required points/month): $15 per 2,000 points
Water level (10,000 required points/month): $25 per 2,500 points
Ether level (25,000 required points/month): $60 per 5,000 points

As you can see, the amount of money you’ll be getting for each point increases as you move up in the VIP levels. So in the case of the Ether level, you would be getting $1 for every 83.3 points – or around a dollar for every $8.33 you generate in rake. And considering all of the other rewards you can receive through Carbon, this is an excellent deal!

We’re less than a month away from the start of the world’s largest poker event – the WSOP – and Carbon Poker is still awarding prize packages for the Main Event. Your last chance to win a WSOP Main Event seat through Carbon is on May 16th, so you still have some time to get in a satellite and play for your free $10k seat.

The May 16th qualifier features a $460 buy-in, and 1 out of every 30 players in the event will win a WSOP prize package. Even if you aren’t able to pony up $460 for the buy-in, don’t worry because there are tons of satellites and qualifiers running for the seats.

All you need to do to find these qualifiers is visit the Carbon Poker lobby, and click the “Satellites” tab under Tournaments. Once you do this, you can sort through the satellites based on entry fee and field size to find what you’re looking for. The satellites range in price from $2 to $60, so there is a little something for everybody here.

If you are able to book your ticket for Sin City through Carbon, you’ll no doubt be playing for yet another multi-million prize pool. In fact, the WSOP Main Event winner always hauls in several million dollars, so playing satellites for the sake of this dream alone is worth the effort!

And don’t forget that Carbon runs plenty of satellites for other live events such as the Aussie Millions, WPT Cyprus and more.

If you’ve been playing the double-up SNG’s at Carbon quite a bit, then I’ve got a nice tip for you. This tip is designed to help you double up early on in one of these SNG’s, and if you can pull this off, you’ve got a great shot at making it ITM. Plus it disguises you as a fish so that you’re more likely to get major action from an opponent when you’ve got a great preflop hand. Okay, enough with the build-up and on to the tip.

Okay let’s say that you get either pocket aces or kings in the early stages of a DU SNG, and you’re facing a raise from an opponent. Now the standard preflop move with these hands is to 3-bet any opponent who has already raised so that you can isolate them and get value out of your pocket pairs. And for the sake of this tip, keep in mind that very few people shove with pocket aces or kings early on because they want to get maximum value by not forcing a fold.

But what if you were to shove with your pocket aces when the minimum call is only 4X the big blind? The answer is that the initial rasier would think you were a complete fish who was trying to steal a measly pot worth 100 or 120 chips, while also risking your tournament life in the process. Going further, a lot of opponents would view your donk range as medium pocket pairs (66 to 99) or Ax.

In the end, you’d be surprised at what people are willing to call you with in the aforementioned situation. In many cases, people will call you with AJ, TT, 99, etc. because they think that your range is so weak.

Of course, you also have to think about the negative side in that you won’t get called by the opponent and surrender what could have turned out to be 200 or 300 chips. But as a rebuttal to this, consider that even if you only get called 1 out of 4 times, you are still going to make around 1,500 chips and double up, which is still better than making 200 or 300 chips in four different situations.

Carbon Poker just keeps getting bigger and bigger, and nowhere is this more evident than with the fact that Carbon’s monthly guaranteed tournament prize pools have jumped from $3 million to $4 million. And what’s nice is that these tournaments offer a lot of value because there are plenty of overlays.

Take the Sunday $50,000 Guaranteed for instance; players will share a $50k prize pool no matter if there are 60 or 600 players who pay the $100 + $9 buy-in to play in this event. The same goes for the Saturday $12,500 Guaranteed, where players often get a favorable overlay in this $30 + $3 tournament. Of course, $65,000 in weekly guaranteed tournaments doesn’t comprise the bulk of Carbon’s $4 million schedule as there is plenty more happening here each day.

You can expect to find at least a $2,000 guaranteed tournament running every hour in a variety of formats such as freezeout, bounty, shootout, deep stacks, all-in or fold, add-ons and rebuys. And what’s nice is that you can use your VIP points to buy into these tournaments, which definitely saves you some money on buy-in fees.

Here is a quick look at some of the daily tournaments you will find amongst Carbon’s $4 million monthly schedule:

$3,500 guaranteed @ 21:30 – $15 + $1.50 buy-in (1,650 points)
$7,500 guaranteed @ 21:00 – $30 + $3.00 (3,300 points)
$3,000 guaranteed @ 20:00 – $3 + $0.30 (330 points)
$7,500 guaranteed @ 19:15 – $20 + $2.00 (2,200 points)
$3,000 guaranteed @ 17:30 – $10 + $1.00 (1,100 points)
$2,000 guaranteed @ 14:30 – $20 + $2.00 (2,200 points)
$2,000 guaranteed @ 13:30 – $10 + $1.00  (1,100 points)
$2,000 guaranteed @ 11:00 – $4 + $0.40 (440 points)
$2,000 guaranteed @ 10:00 – $15 + $1.50 (1,650 points)
$2,500 guaranteed @ 0:30 – $20 + $2.00  (2,200 points)
