Carbon Poker has New Fat Stack & Slim Stack Tourneys

If you’re bored with the usual poker tournament scene that features the same run-of-the-mill starting chip stacks and blind structures, then you should try the brand new Fat Stack and Slim Stack tournaments at Carbon.

You can buy into Fat Stack tournaments with either $2 or $5, and you get a starting chip stack worth $1 million. The blinds are comparatively low too at 25k/50k, and levels go up every 10 minutes, giving you plenty of time to be selective with starting hands.

This is the complete opposite of the Slim Stack tournaments, which only give players 10 chips to start with, and blinds are set at 0.5/1. What’s really crazy about these poker tournaments is that the blinds increase every 2 minutes, which will make them fast-paced and action-packed!

Before I forget, the best part of both the Fat Stack and Slim Stack tournaments is that they’re completely RAKE FREE. So whether you choose to go with the slower-paced Fat Stack tourneys, or the quick action featured in Slim Stack tournaments, you won’t have to pay a dime in rake.

Carbon Poker offering Double Points

If you haven’t been playing online poker much this month, you might want to pick up the pace because Carbon Poker is offering double points throughout the rest of November.

Getting started is easy because you merely need to visit your account and opt-in to the promotion. The next step involves playing MTT’s and/or SNG’s from Monday 00:00 to Tuesday 23:59 because this is when Carbon Poker awards the double points. The extra points will be added to our account before the next day is up.

Once you’ve earned the double points, you can use them to enter poker tournaments, exchange your points for cash, or buy merchandise from the Carbon Poker Store. Just keep in mind though that the double points won’t factor into advancing you up the tiers in the VIP program.

In addition to the double points that are being given away, you should also keep in mind that Carbon is offering $10,000 worth of Chip King Freerolls. To take part in this promotion, you need to opt-in to your account and try to earn 50 VIP points as quickly as possible. Assuming you can do this, you’ll be eligible for all of the Chip King Freerolls that run throughout the rest of the month.

Double Points October at Carbon Poker

Forget apple cider and hay rides this fall because Carbon Poker is offering something much better: double points throughout the month of October!

To earn double VIP points on the Carbon Poker tables, you just need to be at the right place on the correct day. Here is a look at the specifics of earning double points in the 2x October promotion:

2x Tuesday - Jump in any real money ring game or poker tournament between the hours of 00:00 and 23:59 SERVER TIME, and you’ll be getting the double points boost.

2x Thursday - Just like with double points Tuesday, you can also double your VIP points from 00:00 to 23:59 SERVER TIME on Thursdays. And this goes for any ring game, SNG or MTT that you play.

24/7 2x Omaha – Why wait for a certain day when you can just play Omaha at Carbon Poker at any time throughout October to get double points. Assuming you play Omaha already, this is definitely a nice offer!

Activating your Double Points: Before you hit the real money tables at Carbon Poker in search of double points, make sure that you visit your Player Admin area, and click “Activate Promo.” After you’ve done this, you’ll be in line for the double points.

One important thing to note is that your double points will be in your account by 2am SERVER TIME the next day. Assuming you are interested in picking up all kinds of bonus money and rewards through the Carbon Poker VIP program, here is a look at what you can receive:

Cashback – One of the biggest advantages to being a frequent player at Carbon Poker is the cashback. Carbon Poker running WPT Prague Satellites

If you’re looking for a major WPT tournament to play in, then perhaps you should consider WPT Prague since Carbon Poker is currently giving prize packages away for the event. To win one of the prize packages, which will cover the €3200 + €300 buy-in and hotel/travel expenses, you can play in any of the satellites that Carbon is currently running.

As for the satellites, you can find $2.20, $11 and $60 WPT Prague satellites running throughout the day. To find these tournaments, just visit the Carbon Poker lobby, then choose the ” Tournaments,” “Satellite” and “Scheduled” tab; this will bring up the entire list of satellites running at Carbon.

If you’re wondering more about the WPT Prague Main Event, this tournament runs from December 1st through the 5th, which gives players plenty of time to win a prize package. Carbon Poker still running Weekly $100k Guaranteed

At most online poker sites, running a $100,000 guaranteed tournament would be the product of some monumental occasion, such as a 5th year anniversary or seeing the 1 millionth hand dealt. But at Carbon Poker, their $100,000 Guaranteed poker tournament is a regular occurrence that you can expect every week.

If you’re interested in the details of this huge tournament, the $100k Guaranteed takes place every Sunday @ 15:00, and the direct buy-in is $100 + $9. Assuming you can’t quite afford the direct buy-in, there are also satellites for this event, with some of the satellites costing as little as $2 + $0.20 to enter. With buy-ins this small, virtually anybody can compete for a seat in this tournament!

One more big thing worth mentioning about the $100,000 Guaranteed is that there are frequent overlays in this event. So even if there were only 900 players who entered the tournament ($90,000 towards the prize pool), Carbon Poker would make up the remaining $10k of the prize pool. Getting to the important part, this means that you would have 100 less people to compete with for a share of the $100k prize pool.

In any case, just keep in mind that Carbon Poker is still running their bigweekly $100,000 tournament, and you can enter through a variety of different ways.

Carbon offering Quad Pyramid Bonus

This July, Carbon Poker is rolling out a new promotion called Quad Pyramid. And this is a pretty simple promo to explain because if you hit quad 5′s on the flop, you’ll be getting a nice bonus.

Interestingly enough, the hand that offers a bonus will change every month at Carbon’s choosing. So this month it’s quad5′s, and next month it could be quad 8′s; just check Carbon to see what hand you need to flop to get the bonus.

As far as the size of the bonus goes, this is based on what level you’re at in the Carbon VIP program. But before we get to this, take note that if you do land quad 5′s, you should take a screenshot of the hand in your hand history, then email the screenshot to Quads@carbonpoker.com.

Carbon Poker Bad Beat Jackpot worth $465k

It takes long hours on the tables and pouring over strategy to make lots of money with poker. Of course, you can take a big shortcut to getting rich with poker by playing at Carbon Poker’s Bad Beat tables. Currently, the jackpot is worth $465,489, and it will only continue climbing from here.

As far as the details of the jackpot go, the massive prize will be unlocked if somebody loses with at least quad 7′s or higher to quad 8′s or better. In addition to this, both hole cards must be used from the losing and winning hands, the hand must go to the showdown, and the hand needs to generate at least $0.50 for the jackpot. Here is a list of the full requirements.

Assuming that the Bad Beat Jackpot is unlocked, several people get to share in the prize, and here’s a look at the breakdown:

- 35% to the loser
- 20% to reseeding the jackpot
- 17.5% to the winner
- 17.5% to players who have been dealt into the hand
- 10% to Merge Gaming
