Online stud, Brock “t soprano” Parker scored a big hit against all-timer Daniel Negreanu in the $2,500 Six-Handed Limit Hold’em event at the World Series of Poker last night.
Parker added his name to the growing list of first time winners at this year’s WSOP. He’s another notch in the belt for online poker players as well – he was certainly not bullied around by one of the biggest names and recognizable faces in the industry.
To put another feather in Brock’s cap, Negreanu was holding a reasonable chip lead as the pair entered heads-up play. Things went back and forth, but Parker’s cards got hot and wound up winning with AJ for a pair of Aces over Daniel’s K10 for 10s.
The win gave “t soprano” $223,688 for first and $138,280 to Negreanu for second. This would have been the third No-Limit bracelet for Negreanu.
